Richard G. "Slim" Ratzlaff, 70, Burrton, died February 23, 1992 at Veterans Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas. He was born May 31, 1921 at Burton, the son of Abraham G. and Della Luginbill Ratzlaff. A Burrton resident for 18 months, formerly of Haven and Belle Plaine, he was a retired sandpit manager for the Associated Materials Co.

He married Twila A. Eitel at Halstead on July 12, 1946. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 196, Burrton and the Moose Lodge, Hutchinson. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served with the 2nd Armored Cavalry Division.

Survivors: wife of the home; son, Lt. Col. Roger L. Ratzlaff, the Presidio in San Francisco; daughter, Rosemary Diann Sanborn, Belle Plaine; two brothers, Charles Ratzlaff and Donald Ratzlaff, both of Burrton; sister, Delight Regier, Buhler and four grandchildren.

Services were held Wednesday at Kaufman Funeral home with burial in Burrton cemetery.
