F Ray Collins

F. Ray Collins, 63, Hutchinson, 63, died at Hutchinson Hospital, after a sudden illness. He was born August 25, 1929 at Burrton, the son of Percy and Aimee Matlack Collins. He was a 1947 graduate of Burrton High School. A former Burrton resident, moving to Hutchinson in 1974 he was a longtime oil-field worker and retired from Eaton Corporation in 1991, after 19 years of service.

He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Hutchinson, the Burrton United Methodist Church and the International Machinists Union.

He married Audrey M. Howard McCain at Lyons. Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Howard McCain, Burrton and Kim McCain, Colorado Springs, Colorado; five sisters, Betty Scott, Marie Anderson and Charlotte McElwain, all of Burrton; Irma Hoskinson, Anthony and Carol Ehrich, Placentia, California. 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday March 23, at the Burrton United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Burrton Cemetery, Burrton, Kansas.
