Ethellyn Margaret (Barnes) Huffman

Ethellyn Margaret Huffman, 93, Halstad, died Sunday, September 18, 1994 at Regency Health Care Center, Halstead. She was born March 30, 1901 at Wichita, the daughter of Claude and Nellie M. McAllister Barnes. She married Harry E. Huffman August 1, 1928 in Newton. He died November 18, 1961.

She was a part of Halstead's business community for many years. She worked for John Huebert when he had the dray service and then at Halstad Floral. Her last job before retirement, was as librarian at the Halstead Public Library.

She was a member of the Halstead United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Friendship Extension Unit.

She is survived by a nephew, Robert F. Barnes, Prairie Village. She was preceded in death by a son, Harry E. Huffman, Jr., September 9, 1950.

Memoprial services will be held Thursday, September 22 at Kaufman Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Halstead Cemetery.
