Obituary

E. J. Chandler, 18, Newton, died Wednesday, April 24, 1996 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita, as the result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident. He was born March 26, 1978 at Newton, the son of Charles E. "Chuck" Chandler and Nora A. Monarez Chandler. A resident of Newton, also living a short while in Halstead, he was an assembler at Norcraft in Newton and a cook at D's Eatery in Halstead. He attended first through fourth grades at Lincoln School, fifth and sixth grade at St. Mary's Catholic School, and seventh and eighth grades at Chisholmm Middle School. He was completing his GED.

Survivors father of Wichita and his mother of Newton; sister, Theresea Chandler, Newton and maternal grandparents, Emilio and Kay Monarez and Katherine and Don Ornelas, all of Newton.

Rosary was Thursday, April 25 at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, Newton. Mass was Friday at Our Lady of Guadaulpe Catholic Church, Newton, with Father Robert Palacioz presiding. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Newton, Kansas.
