Obituary

Delia Ann "Dee" Collins, 73, former Burrton City Clerk, died friday, Dec. 3, 2010 at her residence in Burrton. She was born Aug. 26, 1937 at Hutchinson to chester Wallace and Alma Louise (Dunkin) Powell. A Burrton resident for 53 years, she attended the Burrton Christian Church. On May 28, 1955 she married Darrell Raymond Collins at Burrton. He preceded her in death on May 14, 2007. Survivors include sons: Mark (Linda) Collins and Darren (Cathy) Collins, Hutchinson; daughters Nancy Collins and Cindy Collins Burrton; Gayle Collins, Wichita; brother Ronald (Shirley) Powell, St. Marys; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded by a gandson, Josh Haines, and a granddaughter, Rita Ann Snodgrass. Crematon has taken place. Graveside service was Tuesday, Dec. 7 at Burrton Cemetery with Rev. Charles Kerr officiatong. Arrangements by Kaufman Funeral Home Halstead.
