Wilma E. Parsons, 88, Halstead, mother of P. Jack Parsons, Halstead, died Friday, March 22, 1996 at Schowalter Villa, Hesston. She was born March 30, 1907 at Atlanta, Kansas, the daughter of Levi Harleigh and Margaret Ellen Hall Dillman. She was a homemaker and a longtime Halstead resident.

On February 4, 1928, she married Percy Russell Parsons in ElDorado. He died August 31, 1952.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Atlanta; life memmber of Ruth Wilson American Legion Post 231 Auxiliary, Halstead; past member of Eunice Sterling Chapter of the Nation Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Wichita.

She is survived by two other sons, Robert D. Parsons, Victoria, Texas; and Col. Russell L. Parsons, US Army Retired, Marietta, Georgia; daughter, Patricia J. Ream, Wichita; sister, Lillian B. McNutt, Houston, Texas; 6 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren and 10 great grand children.

Graveside services were held Monday, March 25, at Halstead Cemetery, with the Rev. James A. Mardock.

Memorials have been established with the Halstead Historical Society, Ruth-Wilson American Legion Post Auxiliary and the Eunice Sterling Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution.
