Carl M. Wilson, Jr. 75, Burrton, died Monday, August 19, 1996 in Reno County, Kansas. He was born Septemer 20, 1920 at Stillwater, Oklahoma, son of Carl M. Wilson, Sr. and Gerda Miller Wilson. A long time resident of Burrton, he was retired. While living in Burrton, he was city superintendent, served on the city council and was mayor. He was a long time fire and ambulance department volunteer and served as fire chief. He was also former owner of the Burrton Pool Parlor. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.

On August 8, 1948, he married Gladys V. Robb at Perryton, Texas. She survives.

Other survivors: son, Bill Wilson, Burrton; three sisters, Kathryn Schroeder and Marily George, both of Valley Center and Janice Baker, Wichita. He was preceded in death by a brother, Alan "Burr" Wilson who died in 1995.
Graveside services will be Thursday, August 22 in Burrton Cemetery with military honors preformed by the Burton American Legion Post 196.
