Obituary

Margaret L. Baum, 74, Newton, formerly of Halstead, died Sunday, January 26, 1997 at Kansas Christian Home, Newton. She was born July 22, 1922 at Moundridge, the daughter of William and Ida Unruh Luginbill. A Hutchinson resident since 1981, she was a retired restaurant waitress.

She was a member of United Methodist Church; the American Legion Auxiliary, Halstead and the Veterans of Foreigh Wars Auxiliary, Newton.

Survivors: son, Kenneth Baum,. Newton; daughter, Ruth Anne Baum, Newton, sister, Geneva Freeman, Derby; seven grand-children and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kay Winter who died August 30, 1990.

Services were Thursday, January 30 at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead. Burial in the Halstead Cemetery.
