Leo Gene Hall, 70, Newton, brother to Maxine Ropp of Halstead, died Friday, March 28, 1997 at is home in Newton.

He was born February 14, 1927 at Newton, the son of James Demarcus and Inez Bell Elder Hall. A lifetime resident of Harvey County, he was a farmer. He was a sportsman and conservationist. He was a member of the First Christian Church in rural Harvey County.

Survivors: four other sisters; LaVera Stineman-Good, Newton; Fern Lingnau, Ponca City, Oklahoma; Zella Stineman, Davenport, Iowa and Edith Harper, Chevy Chase, Maryland. He was preceded in death by a brother, Verlin O. Hall and a sister, Ruth L. VanHorn.

Funeral was Tuesday, April 1 at the First Christian Church. Burial was in Greenwowod Cemetery, Newton.
