Consuelo (Armendariz) Hernandez

Consuelo "Connie" A Hernandez, 72, Newton, died Friday, June 27, 1997 at Columbia Halstead Hospital, Halstead. She was born August 20, 1924 at Halstead, the daughter of Gavino and Esther Trianna Armendariz. She graduated from Halstead High School in 1944. A longtime Newton resident, she was an employee of the former Bethel DCeaconess Hospital Laboratory, Newton, for 24 years and was a homemaker.

She belonged to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, the Altar Society and the Parish Life Commission, all of Newton.On June 17, 1950, she married Robert Hernandez at Halstead. He survives. Other survivors include two brothers, A. J. Armendariz and Salvador Armendariz, both of Halstead; and a sister, Carmen Armendariz. She was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Armendariz.

Rosary was Sunday, June 29, at the Church. Funeral Mass was Monday at the Church with Father James O'Shea presiding. Burial was in Restlawn Gardens, Rural Newton.
