Obituary

Michael D. Baumann, 41, farmer and AGCO assembler, died Friday, Nov. 27, 2009, at Hospice House in Hutchinson. He was born on Feb. 23, 1968, in Hutchinson to Allen E. and Sharon L. (Bryant) Baumann. A lifelong resident, he was a member of Pleasant Grove Methodist Church in rural Burrton. On Aug. 2, 1991 he married Samantha K. Hurst in Hutchinson. She survives. Other survivors include daughters Dakotah Brooke and Hannah Bailey of the home; parents Allen and Sharon Baumann of Burrton: brothers James (Kathy) Baumann of Overland Park, Robert (Anne) Baumann of Maize; sister Brenda (Craig) Sooter of Halstead; and grandfather Paul Bryant of Halstead. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Conner Michael. Funeral service was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec 1, at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church with the Rev. Frank Morgan presiding. Burial followed at Valley Township Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Children's Educational Fund or Pleasant Grove Methodist Church in care of Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead.
