Obituary

Vleda F. Allen, 84, Sedgwick, died Saturday, April 11, 1998 at her home in Sedgwick. She was born August 17, 1913 at Newton, the daughter of George A. and Maude G. Allen Milne. She was a retired employee of Cudahy Packing. She belonged to the AFL-CIO Meat Packers Union.

On September 19, 1930, she married Roy M. Allen at Wichita. He died January 1, 1982.

Survivors: three sons, Johnnie Allen, Sedgwick, Bob Allen, Victoria, Texas and Michael Allen, Lewiston Maine; daughter, Barbara Gifford, Wichita; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral was Wednesday April 8, at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, Newton with the Rev. Michael E. Allen presiding. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton. Memorials to American Heart Association.
