Bisoni, Margaret B.

Harvey County Independent

Margaret B. Bisoni, 82, Halstead, died Friday, March 20, 1998 at Halstead Hospital. She was born October 23, 1915 at Minneapolis, Kansas, the daughter of Raymond A. and Anna E. Maxey Humiston. She was a 1934 graduate of Strong City High School and graduated from Wichita Business College in 1935. She operated a grocery store in Madison before moving to Halstead in 1945. A longtime Halstead resident, she was a homemaker and co-owned People's Cash Grocery at Halstead, retiring in 1980 after 35 years of service.

Following her retirement, she was able to make many interesting trips and cruises. She went to Europe twice while her son Ray Alan and his family were stationed there. She cebrated her 80th birthday on a cruise with her husband and their four children and their spouses.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, the Order of Eastern Star and Halstead Hospital Ausiliary, all of Halstead and Esther Rebekah Lodge No. 458 of Newton.

On September 19, 1937, she married Johnnie Bisosni at Madison. He survives. Other survivors include three sons, Danny B. Bisoni, Newton; Davis J. Bisoni, Halstead; Ray Alan Bisoni, Roy, Utah; daughter, Marjean A. Davison, Halstead; brother, Arthur Humiston, Merriam; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three greata-great grandchildren; three step grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Ruth; two brothers, Bruce Emeril Humiston and Charles Raymond Humiston; sister, Dora Lucretia Humiston and her parents.

Funeral was Monday, March 23, at Halstead United Methodist Church. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery. Petersen Funeral Home, Newton was in charge of arrangements.
