Phyllis B. Rife Hill, 80, Burrton, died Wednesday, September 30, 1998 at Hospice Residential Care Center in Hutchinson. She was born March 24, 1918 at Burton, the daughter of Frank and Olwen Davis Rife. A longtime resident of Burrton, she was a homemaker and occupational therapist for Halstead Hospital, retiring in 1979 after 13 years of service. She was Valdictorian of her 1937 graduating class from Burrton High School. She was a member of Burrton United Methodist Church and Aurora Club, both of Burrton.

On March 129, 1939, she married Charles E. Hill at Burrton. He survives. Other survivors: daughter, Marva Crecelius, Haines, Alaska; two sisters, Marge Smith, Wichita and Nova Cannon, Hutchinson; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral was October 3 at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson with the Revs Roland Wolfe and Robert Walter presiding. Burial was in Burrton Cemetery.
