Connie Jane (Carter) Hiser

Connie Jane Hiser, 70, Wichita, former Halstead resident, died Thursday, November 19, 1998 at her home. She was born September 27, 1928 at Halstead, the daughter of Arthur O. and Constance Ventle Amos Carter. In 1946, she graduated from Halstead High School. A resident of Wichita for many years, she was a retired registered nurse and nursing teacher for Unified School district 259 in Wichita. She was a member of the American Nurses Association.

On August 18, 1949 she married Glenn M. Hiser at Warrenwburg, Missouri. He survives. Other survivors: three sons, Steven M. Hiser and Douglas C. Hiser, both of Wichita; and Kenneth R. Hiser, Parsons; her father of Halstead; brother, Robert Carter, Wichita and four grand children. She was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Hiser.

Graveside service was November 22, 1998 at Halstead Cemetery with the Rev. James Mardock presiding.
