Wayne Lee Kimball, 69, Burrton, died Tuesday, May 19, 1998 at the Las Vegas Medical Center, Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born May 29, 1928 at Bettendorf, Iowa, the son of Ewert D. and Evelyn M. Grant Kimball. He grew up in Iowa and attended the Bettendorf are schools before moving to Newton where he lived for 11 years. In 1978 he moved to Burrton. He was a retired truck driver and a former employee of Hehr Glass in Newton and DMH of Hutchinson.

He was a lifetime member of the VFW in Newton. He served in the United States Army during World War II.

On December 28, 1965 he married Bette Donohue at Juarez, Mexico. She survives. Other survivors: four sons, Michael Kimball, Steven Kimball and Wayne Kimball, II, all of Burrton and Michael Anderson, Fairfax, Virginia; six daughters, Kathleen Unruh and Tammy Unruh, Burrton; Candace Ensenat, Davenport, Iowa; Connie Anderson, Hutchinson; Gale Hickling, Midlothian, Virginia and Robin Redinger, Burrton; two brothers, Dean Kimball, Renick, Missouri and Roger Kimball, North Hollywood, California; 19 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mimi Spady.

Funeral was May 23 at Osenbaugh Funeral Home Chapel in Hutchinson with Father James O'Shea presiding. Burial was in Burrton Cemetery. Memorials to American Heart Association.
