Frayne - Blanpied

Marriage Report

MARRIED. At the residence of the brides father in Valley township, Reno Co., July 13th 1882 Mr. R. E. Frayne to Miss Minnie Blanpied. Rev. J. A. Hungate, acting Pastor of Newton Baptist Church officiating. The ceremony was performed under the spreading boughs of the cottonwoods on the lawn which was illuminated with Chinese lanterns. At the conclusion of the ceremony a delightful repast was served which all enjoyed. The presents were numerous and beautiful and served to remind the happy couple that their friends were not forgetful of them. they leave on tonight's train for Leavenworth to visit the brides brother.

The following guests were present: Mr. and Mrs. Capt. Frayne; Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Provine, Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Vandeveer; Dr. and Mrs. J. D. McAtee; Miss Ada Provine, Miles Taylor; Miss Emma Harmon; Mr. J. E. Gresham; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gray; Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Provine; Mr. and Mrs. E. Johns; Miss Emma Ayers; Miss Bella Cummings; Rev. J. A. Hungate and mother; Mr. G. A. Dean; Nellie Frayne; and Frank McAtee.
