Emma Irene (Bush) McCart Arnett

Irene McCart Arnett, 76, Halstead, died Saturday, March 13, 1999 at Presbyterian Manor in Newton. She was born August 20, 1922 at Shallow Water, Kansas, the daughter of Earl and Emma Tibbets Bush. She had lived in Halstead since 1961, working as a clerk in the Halstead Hospital business office before retiring.

On December 5, 1948, she married Harlan R. McCart at Hutchinson. He died October 1982. On August 29, 1987, she married Boyce Hayden Arnett at Halstead. He died November 29, 1993.

Survivors: sons, Robert McCart; Charles McCart and Ken McCart, all of Halstead and Lee McCart, Edmond, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral was Tuesday, March 16 at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead, with Pastor Roger Ericksten of the Halstead Baptist Church presiding. Burial was in Star Cemetery, rural Burrton.
