Leonard Carl Klein

Leonard Carl Klein, 95, Burrton, died Wednesday, November 18, 1999 aat Buhler Sunshine Home in Buhler. He was born October 18, 1904 at rural Burrton, the son of Emil E. and Mary (Ratzlaff) Klein. A lifelong resident of Burrton, he was a truck driver for Harvey County and a farmer. He attended Burrton Mennonite Church.

On April 18, 1931, he married Elizabeth Klaasen at Hutchinson. She died February 9, 1999.

Survivors include a son, Jim Klein, Burrton; daughters, Dorothy Deardoff and Joyce Dehm, both of Hutchinson; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward Klein, Wilfred "Fritz" Klein and Pete Klein; two sisters, Lottie Vermillion and Selma Schmidt.

Graveside service was Monday, November 22 at Burrton Cemetery, Burrton with the Rev. James Gundy presiding.
