Joseph Daniel McGee, Sr., 65, Burrton, died Wednesday, October 20, 1999 at Veterans Administration Hospital in Wichita. He was born February 15, 1934 at Riviera Beach, Florida, the son of Frank Paul and Martha Clara Brawn McGee. A resident of Burrton since 1968, he was a truck driver for Ramage Trucking of Little River, before retiring.
He attended Burrton Bible Church and was a member of American Legion Post 196, both at Burrton.
On October 31, 1956, he married Eva May Foster at Ponca City, Oklahoma. She survives. Other survivors: three sons, Joseph McGee, Jr., Burrton; Keith McGee, Newton; and David Millison, Dallas, Texas; daughters, Carmen Miller and Marsha Kaegi, both of Burrton and Doris Rucker, Newton; brother, Frank McGee, Leavenworth; sisters, Catherine Kyle, Lexington, North Carolina; Theresa Weeks, Okeechobee, Florida and Evarene Sorenson, Hutchinson and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Douglas McGee.
Funeral was Saturday, October 23 at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead with Pastor Bill Stiebenns presididng. Cremation followed the service.
