Obituary

John M. Rodriquez, 80, Halstead, died Saturday, May 8, 1999 at his home. He was born January 15, 1919 at Deerfield, Kansas. He was a housekeeper at Halstead Hospital before his retirement.

He was an Army veteran, having served in World War II. He married Felonis Ortega in October of 1945 at Santa Barbara, California. She died October 13, 1991. He was a member of the Halstead Baptist Church.

Survivors are a son, John Rodriquez, Jr., Los Fresnos, Texas and daughter, Linda Mull, Newton; brother, Jesus "Jesse" Aguilera, Garden City, Kansas and a sister, Lupe Alcaraz, Dodge City, Kansas and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Hank Rodriquez and Frankie Aguilera and one sister, Doris Aguilera.

Services were Wednesday, May 12 at the Halstead Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Roger Ericksten. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
