Thelma Rita Keckleer Verlin, 84, former Burrton resident, died January 27, 1999 at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado. She was born October 19, 1914 at Burrton, the daughter of Charles Everett and Bertha R. LaGree Baker. She attended Burrton schools and had lived in Denver for more than 30 years. She was a retired retail clerk. She was a former member of Burrton Christian Church.

She married Victor W. Keckler. He died in 1955. In 1962, she married Nathan Verlin. He died in 1993.

Survivors: three sons, Jere Keckler, San Antonio, Texas; Robert Keckler, ElDorado; and Steve Keckler, Denver, Colorado; two daughters, Karen McIntosh, Hutchinson and Vickie Poe, Overland Park; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Victor; brother, Everett Baker and four sisters, Lillian Baker; Mae Skelton; Jackie Higgens and Mildred Warkentine.

Funeral was Tuesday, February 2 at Elliott Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Kim Biery presiding. Burial was in Burrton Cemetery.
