Odas B. Murphey, 83, resident of Schowalter Villa, Hesston, Kansas, formerly of Sacramento, California, died February 6, 1991 at Hesston. He was born March 1, 1907 at Buffalo Springs, Texas, the son of Luther and Fannie Ford Murphey. He was a retired real estate broker and had been a resident of Sacramento before moving to Kansas.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Pomona, California; Scottish Rite Knights Templar, San Bernardino, California; and the Shriners, of Los Angeles, California.

He married Aileen Butler. Survivors include his wife of Halstead; two daughters, Mildred May, Sacramento, California and Nelle Piper, Pomona, California; brother, Alfred Murphey, Mesa, Arizone; sister, Pauline Williams, Yucaipa, California; six grandchildren and 5 great grand-children.

Service was Saturday, February 9 at Kaufman Funeral H ome, Halstead. Memorials to Alzheimer's and Similar Diseases Foundation.
