Mary K. Harms, 108, formerly of Newton, died Sunday (July 7, 1991) at the Bethesda Home in Goessel.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Grace Hill Mennonite Church at rural Whitewater with Pastor Jim Voth and David Book officiating. Burial will be in Grace Hill Church Cemetery.
Born May 1, 1883, in Harvey County, she was the daughter of Benjamin and Anna Harms Schmidt. She married John Z. Harms on Nov. 14, 1901, at Whitewater. He died Oct. 18, 1950. She had lived in Harvey County most all of her life.
She was a member of Grace Hill Mennonite Church in rural Whitewater.
Survivors include a son, Clarence of Whitewater; a daughter, Leona Harms of Newton; a sister, Rosa Schmidt of North Newton; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Elva Harms, five brothers and three sisters. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Petersen's Funeral Home in Newton.
Memorials may be sent to the church in care of the funeral home.
