Paul Robert Bryant, 92, retird owner operator of Bryant Sand and Gravel, died Friday, October 28, 2011 at the Homestead of Halstead Assisted Living Center, Halstead.

He was born December 2, 1918 at Tiff City, Missouri to John William and Myrtle Francis Scovell Bryant. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II serving in the Pacific.

A Burrton reident since 1937, his first job was in the oil field for Olson Oil Co. He moved to Halstead in 2009. He was a member of the Burrton American Legion Post 196 and was a former Lake Township Board member for over 20 years.

On April 20, 1938, he married Mildred Lenore Harrison at Salina. She preceded him in death February 22, 2004.

Survivors: son, Ron (Pat) Bryant; daughter, Sharon (Allen) Baumann, all of Burrton; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grand children and one great-great grandson.

He was preceded in death by a son, Conrad Bryant; grandson, Michael Baumann; greatgrandchildren Conner Michael Baumann, Andrea Perkins and Ashley Baumann; brothers; Sydney; John; Roy; Fred and Ray Bryant; sisters, Anna Seaton; Ethel Hall; Esther Mitchell and Nellie Bryant.

Services were Monday October 31, 2011 at Burrton Christian Church, Burrton, with Rev. Charles Kerr presiding. Burial at Burrton Cemetery.
