Martha Elizabeth (Ropp) Lohman

Mrs. John G. Lohman died of pneumonia at Hutchinson on Thursday morning, November 28, aged 55 years, 1 month and 1 day.

She was born in Iowa, October 27, 1865 and at an early age, came to Halstead with her parents, making this city her home until moving to Hutchinson in the summer of 1913.

She was married to John G.Lohman in 1890 and from this union, there are six living chidren to mourn her death: Mrs. William Stahlheber of Halstead; Mrs. Burley Bird of Larned; Miss Emily, George, John and Margaret all living at home. She is also survived by her aged mother, Mrs. Mary Ropp of Halstead; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Smith, Colorado and Mrs. Daisy Keith of Hannabal, Missouri and three brothers, William of Perkins, Oklahoma and Elmer and John Ropp of Halstead.

Because two of the children are too sick to be even told of their mother's death, the date of the funeral has not been definitely decided upon, but it may be next Sunday, with interment in the Halstad Cemetery.
