Obituary

Jesse Janatz, Jr., 78, of Moundridge, died Tuesday, December 20, 2011. Services were held December 23 in Gardenview Church of God in Christ, Mennonite in Halstead. Burial was in the church cemetery.

He was born March 10, 1933 in Montezuma. He married Barbara Ann Mears on March 13, 1955 in Ithaca, Michigan. He was a resident of Stratford for 12 years before moving to Kansas.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene. Survivors: wife, Barbara of Hesston; three sons, Karl J. and wife, Karlyn and Larry L. and wife Alice, all of Stratford and Wade L. and Wife Joan of Farwell, Minnesota; two daughters, Cynthia K. and husband, Lowell Unruh of Hesston and Janella J. and husband Justin of Macon, Mississippi; 17 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; two brothers and six sisters.
