Obituary

Ernestine Metcalf, 73, Mt. Hope, sister of Richard Lee McMurry, Burrton, died Wednesday, November 22, 2000 at Newton. She was born January 19, 1927 at Mt. Hope, daughter of Earnest H. and Vera Dell Preston McMurry. She was a homemaker.

On May 5, 1952, she married William Metcalf at Clarksville, Arkansas. He preceded her in death.

Other survivors include three daughters, Beverly Metcalf, Newton; Lois Metcalf-Ruble, Hutchinson and Dana Chaffin, Mt. Hope and three grandsons.

Services were Saturday, November 25 at the Methodist Church in Haven with Pastor Bob Gleason presiding. Burial was in Star Cemetery near Burrton, Kansas.
