Mrs. Sarah Ida Walthour, who resided in Newton about forty years, and who for the past eight years has been living with a daughter, Mrs. Helen Swengel in El Dorado, died at the home there Tuesday afternoon at 1:00. She had been a member of the Newton chapter, Order of the Eastern Star for more than fifty years.

Her husband, Louis C. Walthour, who was a veteran Santa Fe engineer, died in 1934. She is survived by three sons and three daughters, Roy L., W.F., and John W.; Mrs. Esther Turner, Mrs. Julia Cree and Mrs. Helen Swengel.

Funeral services will be held at the Moody's Funeral Chapel Friday afternoon at 2:00 with Rev. L.F. Arend of the El Dorado Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in Greenwood cemetery by the side of her husband.

Mrs. Walthour was born in Logansport, Ind., Jan. 25, 1863, and thus was past 85 years of age.
