Obituary

Ella M. Brown, 83, Valley Center, died Sunday, July 1, 2001 at Newton Medical Center. She was born May 11, 1918 in Wallhala, North Dakota, daughter of Charles Dertrum and Aglissina Dumas Graveliner.

She married Naaman Brown on August 21, 1941 at Wellington. He preceded her in death September 13, 1981. She enjoyed gardening and flowers along with fishing and reading.

Survivors include; two sons, Charlie Brown and Lonie Brown, both of Newton; daughter, Karen L. Barnett, Valley Center; sister, Leona "Pete" Fitzpatrick, Santa Rosa, California; five grandchildren and two great grand children.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Francis Graveliner, George Graveliner and Laurea Graveliner.

Services were held July 5 at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton with Rev. Kim Beckwith. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick.
