Obituary

Michael D. Hayes, 43, Moundridge, stepson of Madeline Hayes, Halstead, died November 10, 2001 at Mercy Hospital in Moundridge. He was born August 2, 1958 at Newton, son of Noel V. and Judy Little Hayes. A 1976 graduate of Newton High School, he had worked at Hay and Forage, Hesston for more than 22 years and was the welding shop crew chief.

On October 26, 1978 he married Rosanne Kay Klassen at Elbing. He attended the Meridian Baptist Church, Newton and belonged to the HFI Union.

Survivors: wife, of the home; son, Jeremiah A. Hayes, Moundridge; daughter, Amanda K. Hayes, Moundridge; brother, Ronald Hayes, Huber Heights, Ohio; five sisters, Patricia Walters, Fort Worth, Texas; Sylvia Wood, Texarkana, Texas; Peggy Sherrick, Newton; Judy Van Rossun and Lynda Burse, both of Wichita; mother-in-law and father-in- law, Jim and Rose Bolen, Wichita. He was preceded in death by his father Noel Hayes and his mother, Judy Womack.

Services were November 14 at the Church with burial in the Greenwood Cemetery, Newton, Kansas.
