Arthur Henry Sargent

Arthur H. "George" Sargent, 95, longtime Burrton resident, died November 13, 2001 at Buhler Sunshine Home, Buhler. He was born February 18, 19906 at Grigsville, Illinois, son of Arthur and Mable Collins Sargent. He was employed by the City Service Oil Co. for more than 40 years, retiring in 1968 as an assistant superintendent.

On July 5, 1926 he married Fay Terry at Cleborne, Texas. He belonged to the Burrton United Methodist Church, the Lions Club and the Masonic Lodge, all of Burrton.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Jo Johnson, Burrton and Willa Edwards, Wichita; four grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great-great grand-children.

He was preceded in death by two half brothers, Pete Keeney and Marble Keeney, Jr.

Services were held at the United Methodist Church at Burrton with burial in the Burrton Cemetery.
