Beatrice Jo Ann (McNown) Sayers

Mrs. Beatrice JoAnn McNown Sayers, 18, passed away in Wesley hospital in Wichita on Monday, April 10. She was the only daughter of Mrs. Nina McNown and the late Charles McNown, who died in 1946.

She attended Fairview school here several years ago. She became ill Friday with kidney trouble and complications.

Mrs. Sayers' father, the late Charles McNown, died in June of 1946, after falling from an oil rig the month beforel The family lived north of Burrton and later she and her mother moved to Wichita.

She was born in Douglas, Kansas in 1932 and lived in Halstead and Burrton before moving to Wichita after the death of her father and which was her home at the time of her death.

She was married to Lawrence Sayers on November 27, 1948. Besides her husband, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Charles McNown of Wichita; foster grandmother, Mrs. C. A. Causey of Douglass.

Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
