John Lee Munds

John Munds was born May 31, 1899 at Yankton, South Dakota and departed this life October 30, 1971 at Hutchinson Hospital South at the age of 72 years, 5 months.

On January 7, 1938 he was united in marriage to Nora Ellen Graham at Hutchinson, Kansas. To this union four children were born, Mrs. Susanne Unruh, Bellevue, Washington; John L. Munds, Hutchinson; Mike Junds, Wichita; and Mrs. Sally Burdick, Wichita.

John lived the greater part of his life in Burrton where he was an independent oil pumper and retired from Home Stake Production in May 1970.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #231 in Carney, Oklahoma. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Nora Ellen; four children; two son-in-laws, two daughter-in-laws and 7 grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother, Claude Munds, Wichita; sisters, Mrs. Geneva Smith, Youngstown, Arizona; Mrs. Rena Haley, Cushing, Oklahoma and Mrs. Katie Clark, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Services were conducted from the Burrton Christian Church with burial in the Burrton Cemetery.
