Obituary

Mrs. Clara Margaret (Ropp) Moulds, eldest daughter of Elmer E. and Kathryn Ropp was born at Halstead on July 16, 1894 and departed this life November 29, 1943 at the Halstead Hospital after a short illness. She was 49 years, 4 months and 13 days of age.

On May 2, 1916, at the age of 22, she was united in marriage to Robert Ernest Moulds at Hutchinson, Kansas. To this union were born ten children, 6 girls and 4 boys, all of whom are living. The daughters are Mrs. Pauline Prine, Newton; Mrs. Kathryn Lentz, Halstead; Eleanor, Florence and Geraldine at home; sons are Thomas of Newton; Donald, Halstead and Dean and Norman at home.


Besides her husband and children she leaves to mourn her passing her mother, Mrs. Katherine Ropp; seven sisters and two brothers.

She received her education in the Halstead schools and lived all her life in this community except for 12 years near Sedgwick. She was a loving wife and faithful mother, evoted to the care and welfare of her family. On three consecutive Easters she had children in the hospital with major operations followed by long periods of convalescence when she patiently nursed them back to health.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 2 in the Halstead Methodist Church. Interment was in the Halstead cemetery.
