Esther Johnson

Esther K. Johnson, 89, Halstead, died February 21, 1986 at Moundridge Manor, Moundridge, Kansas where she had made her home for the past several months, moving from Halstead. She was born May 14, 1897 in Hesston, the daughter of Daniel B. and Helena Koehn Holdeman. She married Obed Johnson August 17, 1919. He died October 30, 1965. She was a homemaker and had been a Halstead resident since 1933. She was a member of Grace Mennonite Church, Rural Halstead.

Survivors include one son, Errol, Halstead; three daughters, Eleanor, (Mrs. Freeman) Unruh,, rural Halstead; Theda (Mrs. Ed) Becker, Moundridge; and Betty (Mrs. Floyd) Koehn, Galva; 14 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

Services were held February 24 at the Church. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery.
