Donald E Jr Wallace

Donald Edwin Wallace, Jr., 61 step-father of Brett, Mac and Beau Bogunovich, all of Sedgwick, died Saturday, August 14, 2004. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1960 to 1974 where he earned a Navy Commendation and Combat V; Purple Heart; several Good Conduct awards and Meritorious mast.

He was a manager for Gant Oil Co.; an owner-operator for Don's Exxon Service and a police officer, all in North Carolina. In Wichita, he was a final assembly line inspector for Cessna and Boeing. At Boeing he was first level production manager on the 747, 757, 767, 737 Classic and 737 New Generation design build team when he retired. After retirement, he worked for Donovan as a truck salesman.

Other survivors: wife, Jodi Wallace of the home; sons, Zachary Wallace, Topeka and Tony Wallace, North Carolina; daughter, Kim Wallace, North Carolina; two sisters, Jeanette Jennings and Carrie Hickam, both of Wichita; 6 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Viollet Richey and Donald Wallace Sr.; brother, Jim Hendershot and stepson Corey Bogunovich.

Services were held at Gaker Funeral Home, Aalley Center. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick.
