Harry E. Eshelman, 92, Hutchinson, former Sedgwick resident, died May 29, 2005 at Dillon Living Center, Hutchinson. He was born June 17, 1912 in Newton, son of Harry G. and Alice Jeanette Bradley Eshelman.

He was a graduate of Sedgwick High School in 1930 and attended college at Southwestern in Winfield and Kansas State University. He was a retired farmer and stockman; a member of the First United Methodist Church, Hutchinson and a former member of the Sedgwick United Methodist Church. He was a longtime volunteer and member of the Harvey County 4-H and belonged to various livestock associations.

On February 21, 1934, he married Mary Margaret Zaring in Sedgwick. She survives of the Home.

Other survivors: son, Joe Eshelman, Stafford, Kansas; daughters, Norma Whitney, Golden, Colorado and Connie Davison, Hutchinson; brothers Orville Eshelman, Newton and Kermit Eshelman, North Carolina; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Keith Eshelman and sister, Ruby Lee Eshelman.

Services were held June 1 at the United Methodist Church in Sedgwick with Rev. Mark Conard and Pastor Kate Johnson Martin officiating. Burial was a Hillside Cemetery in Sedgwick.
