Obituary

Andrew Jackson Miller, age 75, the oldest practicing physician iin Halstead died a few days before July 26, 1906.

He was born in Ohio in Ohio and maried Elizabeth Woods in 1853. She died in 1854. He married Samantha Miller in 1855 who survives.

He was a Union surgeon iin the Civil War. He came to Halstead in 1876. Services were held at his residence. Business houses were all closed during the funeral which was conducted by the Odd Fellows Lodge. He was buried in the City Cemetery.
