Verna M. (Stein) Randall

Verna M. Randall, 97, Halstead, died September 17, 2005 at Newton Medical Center, Newton. She was born May 10, 1908 in Halstead, the daughter of Samuel E. and Anna Elizabeth Stamm Stein. They preceded her in death.

She married John D. Randall on July 12, 19928 in Halstead. He preceded her in death on June 28, 1908.

She was a retired bookkeeper for Randall Plumbing, Halstead and a homemaker. She was a member of Halstead Presbyterian Church; a charter member of Halstead Hospsital Auxiliary; former board member of the Halstead Senior Citizens; Lakin Happy Homemakers EHU, all of Halstead; the Harvey County Transportation Commission and Harvey County RSVP.

Survivors include sons, Paul Randall, Park City and Robert and wife, Pat, Camdenton, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Patricia Randall, Newton; brother, Marvin Stein, Halstead; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Wesley Stein.

Memorial service was at the Presbyterian Church with the Rev. James Anderson officiating. Private entombment was at Halsted Mausoleum.
