Obituary

Ollen E. "Pete" Swann, 94, of Burrton, father of Robert Swann of Burrton, died March 23, 2005 at Hutchinson Hospital. He was born June 20, 1910 at Neal, the son of
William and Golden Briggs Swann.

A resident of Burrton since 1936, he worked in the oil fields and was a farmer and stockman. He belonged to Burrton United Methohdist Church and served on agriculture committees. He also was a member of Burrton Western Harvey Bosters 4-H.

On June 4, 1939, he married Gladys Evelyn Day. She died December 6, 1999. Other survivors: son, Ronald, Wichita; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, William; two brothers, Orville and Oliveer; sister, Elda Able and an infant daughter.

Services were held at Burrton United Methodist Church on March 26. Burial was in Burrton City Cemetery.
