Dr. Joseph H. Wilson of Halstead, father of LaJune Thrasher of Halstead, died June 1, 2005 at Hlstead Health and Rehabilitation. He was born February 7, 1915 on a farm near Peabody, the son of Frank P. and Dr. Beatrice M. Ruby Wilson.

On October 24, 1938, he married Allison Post from Red Cloud, Nebraska in Newton. She survives of Halstead.

He attended St. Mary's Catholic School and Newton High School. He attended Cleveland School of Chiropractie in Kansas City, Missoouri. He ws a chiropractor in Newton from 1937 to 1979 He retired and moved to Belle Vista, Arkansas for 19 years. He and allison returned to Newton in 1992.

Other survivors: two sons, Gary Wilson, LaCenter, Washington and Dr. William Wilson, Newton; two other daughters, Hazel White, Rancho Cucomonga, California; Diana Loyd, Newton; 11 grandchildrenn; 27 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, John Wilson and Jerome Wilson; two half brothers, Fred Wilson and Willard Wilson and two half sisters, Bernice Wilson and Mary Teresa Wilson.

Services were held June 20 at Trinity Heights Uited Methodist Church Newton. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
