Luella A. Dyck, 80,died December 8, 2006 at Newton Medical Center. She was born November 13, 1926 at Hillsboro to John and Bertha Becker Peters. She married Alvin Dyck at Newton on December 23, 1946. He preceded her in death.

During her working career, Luella owned and operated several businesses including a housekeeping service. She was a member of Grace Community Church, Newton, where she was active in Bible study. She and her husband lived in rural Hesston for many years where she enjoyed spending time gardening and working outdoors. She is especially remembered for her strawberry patch.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends playing games and doing puzzles and playing Bingo.

Survivors: daughter, Jeanette Dyck, Topeka; sons, Bob Dyck, Burrton, Gerald Dyck, McPherson; sister, Laura Foth, Newton; brother, Elmer Peters, Emporia; sister-in-law, Wilma Peters, rural Newton; brother-in-law, Roy Fielder, Wichita; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were brothers, Melvin Peters and Victor Peters and sister, Ruth Fielder.

Services were held December 23 at Grace Community Church with Pastor Stephen S. Friesen officiating. Burial was in Walton Cemetery.
