Donna Ediger, 74, died December 19, 2006 at her rural home in Newton. She was born February 2, 1932 in Newton to John S. and Alta Marie McDougal Kluge. she married H. Milford Ediger on February 25, 1951 in Newton.

She was a class of 1949 graduate of Newton High School. She attended St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing and was a graduate of Wichita School of Cosmetology.

Donna worked as an operator for Bell Telephone Company; a cosmetologist; an employee of Baker Burniture Store; insurance clerk for
Bethel Hospital and was retired from working as the office manager for Dr. Michael Bates.

She was a member of the Peabody United Methodist Church and transferred membership on June 1984 to Salem United Methodist Church in Newton. She was an active member and devoted volunteer. She was a charter member of the Vintage Red Hatters of Oz., Newton.

She was a friend and inspiration to all who knew her. Her faith and love of God were evident in how she lived her life and all the ways she reached out to others.

She is survived by her husband of the home; sister, Shelia McGuire of Naxhville, Kansas; children, Rebecca Ediger, Wichita; Russell Ediger, Overland Park and Melinda Lang, Hutchinson; 3 grandchildren and one great grandson.

Memorial service was held at Salem United Methodist Church on December 23, 2006. Memorials to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
