Lucas S. Buller, 30, of Newton, pleaded guilty to child pornography charges Thursday.

In his plea, he admitted collecting images of child pornography and taking photos of minor children in various states of undress. He admitted taking photos of a minor girl while she slept and her genitals were exposed. He also admitted taking photos of a minor boy whose genitals were exposed.

Buller is set for sentencing July 24. He faces a penalty of not less than 15 years and not more than 30 years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000.

Buller was arrested and indicted in October 2011. He was to have a jury trial in March, but that was cancelled. Buller initlaly facd four federal charges, including the receipt and distribution of child pornography and possession of child pornography. According to the indictment, Buller photographed the genitals of two minor children, born in 2001 and 2002. The indictment also alleges Buller received six movie files containing child pornography on his computer.

Buller is currently in jail by order of the federal court.
