Raymond W. "Buss" Suenram, 87, former Halstead resident, died May 8, 2006 at Memorial Home, Mouondridge. He ws born October 12, 1918 at Moundridge, son of Paul and Tene Wickert Suenram. They preceded him in death.

On January 17, 1942 he married Velma Dey Lehman at Halstead. She preceded him in death on December 4, 2005.

He was a farmer, worked for American Coach Trailer Factory and was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving in World War II. He was a Halstead resident from 1955 to 2004, when he moved to Moundridge. He belonged to First United Methodist Church, Halstead Pond, Ruth Wilson American Legion Post 231 and Ducks Unlimited

Survivors iinclude a son, Richard Suenram, Syria, Virginia; daughter, Linda Ropp, Buhler; brother, Robert Suenram, McPherson; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Carl Suenram, Pearly Suenram, Wilbur Suenram, Paul Suenram and Earl Suenram and sisters, Esther Roth, Edith Suenram,
Ada Voth, Pauline Suenram and Edna Coats.

Services were held at the church on May 23 with burial in the Halstead Cemetery.
