Catherine S (Cordell) Baalmann

Catherine S. Baalmann, 76, died September 22, 2007 at Halstead Health and Rehabilitation in Halstead. She was born on September 25, 1930 to Joseph C. and Marie Strunk Cordell. They preceded her in death. On October 23, 1951 she married Lawrence Baalmann at St. Mary's in Aleppo. He survives at home. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Altar Society and Halstead Hospital Auxiliary, all of Halstead.

Survivors: sons, George of Halstead and Joe of St. Louis; daughters, Betty Roths, Conway Springs, Teresea Johnson, Wichita and Mary Wells, Kansas City, Mo.; brothers, David Cordell, Garden Plain and Simon Cordell, Benton; sisters, Evelyn Bogner, Parsons and Rosemary Martin, Goddard; 10 grandchildren; one reat grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Marie Ross and a sister, Mardella Kerschen.

Services were held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Steve Baxter officiating. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery. Memorials to Alzheimer's Association.
