Marie Elmira (Tipton) Boese

Marie Tipton Boese, 94, died at the Mineral Wells Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Mineral Wells, Texas on Sunday, April 29. 2007. She was formerly of Halstead.

She was born May 21, 1912 in Whitewater, her parents were Ray and Hilda Sheffler Tipton. Both are deceased.

She married George Boese in Newton, June 13, 1931. He preceded her in death on October 16, 1972. Her occupation was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and American Legion Post 231 Auxiliary, both of Halstead and VFW Post 971 Auxiliary of Newton.

Survivors: son, Milton Boese, Velonia, Arkansas; daughters, Helen Collins, Halstead; Georgia Keesling, Casa Grande, Arizona; Ann Moore, Grayford, Texas; 21 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, George A. Boese; brother, Leonard Tipton; grandson, Darrel Boese and granddaughter, Wendy Vanslyke.

Graveside services will be May 5 at the Halstead Cemetery. Memorials to Integracare Hospice.
