Janice Marie (Mervia) Brown

Janice Marie Brown, 62, died December 30, 2008 in Newton. She was born September 21, 1946 in Wichita, daughter of Francis (Sams) and Edward Thomas Mervia.

She enjoyed playing bingo, shopping and spending time with her friends. Her greatest love was her children and grandchildren.

Survivors; two sons: Larry, Newton and James, Peabody; three daughters, Sherry Brown, Newton; Cheryl Williams, Haysville and Karen Lee, Halstead; two sisters, Ann Mervia, Wichita and Joyce Matson, California; 21 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and her father.

Memorial service was Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Newton. The family will have a private commital.
