Kevin Scott Jantz

Kevin Scott Jantz, 46, died Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Wesley Medial Center in Wichita following a hunting accident.

He was born December 7, 1961 in Newton to Donald R. and Marcella Quiring Jantz. He was a 1980 graduate of Elbing and a 1983 graduate of Friends University in Wichita.

He was a member of First Churchh of the Hazarene in Newton and attended Grace Community Church in Newton. He worked as a systems analyst for Spirit Aerosystems in Wichita and at one time worked at the Former Halstead Hospital.

He greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors. He was known for his cooking skills and was a man of great generosity and faith who greatly looked forward to spending time with his loving family and many friends.

Survivors inslude his mother, Marcella Quiring Jantz of Newton; stepfather, Norman Rogers, Newton; brothers, Steve Jantz, Newton and Berry Craig, Moundridge; sisters, Sharon Skidmore, Newton; Kristen Burkhart, Newton and Beth Smith of Whitewater. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald R. Jantz and grndparents.

A private family service will be conducted with Pastor Steve Friesen of Grace Community Church and the Rev. Carl Craig will officiate. Burial at Restlawn Gardens of Memory, Newton.
